The Generator Workshop organized a welding quality learning and exchange

To better meet the high requirements of BASF projects for product welding acceptance standards, the generator workshop took the opportunity of the Quality Month activity to organize personnel to visit the riveting welding workshop to learn and exchange welding process technologies and acceptance standards.

On September 8, the welding acceptance of embedded parts for the BASF project was completed, and my workshop promptly organized welding personnel to visit riveting and welding workshop for on-site observation and exchange. At the observation site, members of the electric welding team carefully compared the weld height, width, and appearance of the embedded parts seams against the drawings, and engaged in detailed discussions with the riveting and welding workshop personnel regarding the selection of welding wire, current magnitude, and welding methods used during the process. After the exchange and discussion gained a deeper understanding of the details of the welding acceptance standards for the BASF project, which played a crucial guiding role for my workshop to better undertake the main welding work of the project in the future.

After the exchange activity, Deputy Director Gao Jiri took the opportunity to convene a brief on-site meeting with the electric welding personnel. He emphasized that welding is the task that best reflects both and art. During the welding process, the welding technology must be strictly implemented, with rigorous control over filler material selection, welding speed, and welding current. Not only must the performance requirements specified the drawings be met, but the aesthetic standards of the weld seams must also be improved to ensure consistent height and width, and a smooth transition between the weld metal and the base metal, ensuring that products of this project pass the acceptance inspection and leave the generator workshop beautifully.

The various acceptance standards of the BASF project are extremely stringent. Facing the challenge, the generator workshop regards it as an opportunity urge the improvement of its own quality management. Next, the workshop plans to carry out a series of similar quality improvement activities to effectively achieve an upgrade in product quality.
